Dear Reader, thank you for your interest in my profile. If you've come so far, you might want to understand something about the person behind the cold facts. All of my studies, my experiences and my affiliations are laid bare in my profile. But what is missing is the personality holding it all together. First and foremost I'm a Traveller. I studied, worked and lived across different cultures, thus traveling through space. But most importantly, I love immersing myself in every and each community, learning their past and present and mastering new languages, thus traveling through time. My industry of choice, tourism and hospitality, is not a surprise then. As well as my preferred areas of study: history, economics and social sciences. But I'm also an Entrepreneur. Wether I work for myself, for a large company or for a non-profit organization, I'm always driving change and pushing initiatives. I simply can't help myself, I'm enterprising at heart. I like being on the move also with my favorite sports: offshore sailing, alpine skiing and hiking. Finally, I enjoy learning and sharing. Some fields of study capture my interest over and over: history of religions, evolutionary psychology, history of political and economical institutions, anthropology of food, sociology of travel. And every time I come across a new business model, I enjoy taking it apart and testing it for its strengths and weaknesses. Thus I call myself a Researcher, but am at the same time a Business Angel and a Public Speaker. As a Business Angel I meet young entrepreneurs, learn about their projects and share my insight. And at times I also invest. As a Public Speaker I had the honor to meet and present to students and professionals at Bocconi University, Modul University, Dresden School of Management and various industry events. Across all of this, I keep travelling pushed onwards by my constant curiosity to know what’s beyond the next curve in the road...
