Michael moved to Los Angeles from his hometown Chicago in 1986 establishing himself as a top (conventional) Entertainment, Advertising and Editorial Illustrator. In the early 1990's he made the transition to digital, working on iconic Key Art such as Batman and Lord Of The Rings. In the early 2000's Michael pioneered photo-illustration; designing, photographing and finishing covers and features for: Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek, Wired, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and many more. He also created Album Covers for Katy Perry, Alanis Morrisette, Tenacious D, and numerous advertising campaigns for clients including: Progressive Insurance, Harley Davidson, Showtime, Nickelodeon, Fox Searchlight and Sony. In 2019, returning to his first love, Michael joined the Clio award winning entertainment advertising agency BOND where he leads a team of incredibly talented Finishers.
