Bio

Michael Hay is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Colgate University and co-founder of Tumult Labs. His research interests include data privacy, databases, data mining, machine learning, and social network analysis. After earning his Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010, he was a Computing Innovation Fellow at Cornell University from 2010-2012. He is a recipient of the ACM SIGKDD Doctoral Dissertation Award (2011) and an IEEE ICDM Best Student Paper award (2010). His research is supported by grants from DARPA and NSF.
