I am currently an R&D manager at Ciena, where my team is focused on evaluating and predicting the performance of Ciena's optical transport systems. I have extensive experience in long haul DWDM optical telecommunication systems; both at the optical/physical layer and the transport protocol (OTN/SONET/Ethernet) layer. I am proud to be a professional engineer, and enjoy the many challenges associated with working on large, complex, and aggressive projects with diverse teams. To succeed in this environment, I need to draw on many skills related to management, interpersonal communication, problem solving, influencing others, and of course my extensive technical knowledge.
