It’s not every day that an Easter egg hatches the idea for a brand new company — with a different approach to the sale and service of medical equipment products and services. But that’s exactly what happened to me in early 2015. I had devoted my professional career to making the healthcare environment safer. As a recognized Safe Patient Handling expert, advocate, and educator. From 2006 to 2015, I served as the Vice President of Sales for TransMotion Medical. During my tenure, we grew revenue from $350K per year, to nearly a $10 Million per year company. At that point, our board of directors sold our division. During my tenure, I traveled the world working to grow our business. Part of the price I paid was an exhausting work and travel schedule, and family time with my daughter Zoey suffered in the process. The issues went deeper. His product represented just one specific solution. What if it was not always the best solution for a customer? For me, it was never about making the sale at all costs. It was about integrity. Fast-forward to one Easter Sunday. Watching Zoey hunt for Easter eggs, I had an epiphany. I envisioned a different way of doing business – one that was better for my customers and better for my family. Instead of representing a single product nationwide, I would represent a broad range of medical products to the market.
