Michael has more than 25 years experience directing large-scale tech innovation from startups to Fortune 500 companies including Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Bank of New York, Lloyds of London and British Telecom. In 2010, Michael founded SmartMoney in East Africa to address the untapped market opportunity for financial services in Africa. SmartMoney is a Pan-African fintech combining a multi-purpose digital financial services platform with a novel market entry strategy. The company's innovative business model realizes profits through customer-centric grassroots marketing methods that achieve unrivaled levels of account adoption in Africa's difficult-to-service rural markets.
