Bio

I am the CEO of the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity. ATHENE is a research center of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, with the participation of Fraunhofer SIT, Fraunhofer IGD, TU Darmstadt and Hochschule Darmstadt. It is sponsored by the German federal and the Hessian state ministries of science and research. I am also heading the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology SIT and chair the Security in Information Technology research group at TU Darmstadt. ATHENE, Fraunhofer SIT and TU Darmstadt are doing research in virtually all areas of cybersecurity and privacy. My personal research focus is currently on core cybersecurity.
