Bio

I have always been fascinated by storytelling, particularly visual storytelling, and how it can impact a collective mindset. This led me to explore forms of XR (extended reality) as well as dance and movement. And now, with a background in journalism and film production, I act as a creative consultant, blending traditional media with VR, AR AI, motion capture, and 360-degree film. In other words, I help brands create moving experiences for their audiences which create a social impact. I also am involved in many projects of my own, which include Lutaw, FACE TO FACE, and the Mixed Asian Media Festival. In 2018, I received an Emmy and Webby for Capturing Everest, a collaboration with Sports Illustrated and Endemol Shine Beyond. I am an experienced public speaker, having presented at international conferences, public institutions, and podcasts such as Games for Change Festival, U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, No Proscenium, and Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. My work has been featured by TIME, Forbes, The Guardian, Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and New York Public Library. I always try to take on purpose-driven projects, which vocalize and educate about diversity. I like to work for the impact of the projects, rather than the project itself! Some issues I have tried to address through my work include unequal privilege, neurodivergence, differing physical abilities, ethnicities, sexual identifications, and agism. My passion for promoting equality and tackling social issues stems from growing up as a mixed-race Filipino American and not seeing myself in mainstream media and storytelling.
