She previously structured debt and equity at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and the Carlyle Group. Her commitment to positive impact through disciplined investing has spanned over 20 years and 3 continents, together with her dedication to transparency, governance and representation in international contexts. In emerging markets private equity since 2007, Michelle brings to bear 10+ years of expertise backing over 100 MW of renewable power projects in Latin America while at Conduit Capital Partners and the Carlyle Group. She previously worked in the Public Sector & Infrastructure Banking group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and at SJF Ventures, a leading impact VC fund now investing their 5th fund. Currently, Michelle is Investment Director at KawiSafi Ventures, backing high potential companies and teams in distributed renewable energy and related technologies in East Africa. She serves on the Board of OPES Solutions. Michelle holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in New York City and is a mom of two wild children.
