Mikaela Boyd is a partner in the New York office of Bain & Company. Mikaela leads the Strategy practice for Bain Americas and the firm's global efforts in Innovation & Business Building. Mikaela is also an active leader in Financial Services and Customer practices. As a member of Bain's Customer practice, Mikaela has extensive experience working with both B2B and B2C clients to address a variety of customer topics, including customer-led innovation, segmentation & insights, customer loyalty and the Net Promoter System, customer experience design and brand strategy. Within the financial services, Mikaela has a particular focus on payments, banking, credit cards, life insurance and retirement. She has led engagements in corporate strategy, growth strategy, performance improvement, cost reduction, operating model and organizational redesign, and large-scale transformation and change programs. Mikaela is passionate about transforming large companies, especially those experiencing business model disruption. She has deep transformation experience at the intersection of organization, Agile, performance improvement, leadership and change management. Mikaela has held a number of leadership roles within Bain, with significant contributions to training and mentorship. Prior to joining Bain, Mikaela held strategy and operating roles in the independent sectors of the US and South Africa. Mikaela holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Boston College.
