Mike Mompi is cofounder and Managing Partner of Enza Capital, a multi stage venture fund backing founders and teams using technology to solve large and meaningful problems across Africa. Mike sits on the Boards of multiple African technology companies across Africa. Prior to launching Enza he was an Investor at the Global Innovation Fund in London where he focused on high-impact commercial investments in sub-Saharan Africa while also working as the Investment Advisor to the SPRING accelerator in East Africa. He is also a coFounder of the Accra Angel Network. Prior to that Mike spent 5+ years building the early-stage investment business at ClearlySo, Europe's leading Impact Investment Bank, as the Director of Impact Investment. He worked with management teams, private investors, and institutional investors to structure and secure values-aligned investment for businesses that have a positive impact on society and the environment. Within this, Mike was also responsible for ClearlySo's network of HNW impact investors, which includes the Clearly Social Angels, the UK's largest and most active network of individuals and families investing in businesses with an impact. Mike led the transactions awarded the UKBAA Social Impact Investment Deal of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2016 Mike was selected as one of Brummell's '30 Ones to Watch: Rising stars of the City'. Mike is a Trustee at the Treebeard Trust, a social investor that supports transformational initiatives creating a fairer society, and he is a Trustee and cofounder of the Black Global Trust. He holds degrees in Economics and Communications from the University of California, Davis.
