Mike Sargent has created original content for all media. Chief Film Critic for WBAI RADIO, Sargent is a nationally quoted film critic and sought after Moderator for Film Q&A events. MIKE was the creator and host of the first African-American hosted film review television show ever ARISE ON SCREEN Arise.TV’s weekly global movie review & interview show which ran from January 2014 until July 2015. He is also a founding member of both the Black Film Critics Circle (BFCC) & the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA). SARGENT is a recurring guest film-critic on, the PBS Newshour, WPIX11, i24News, FBN on ‘Mornings with Maria’ a much sought after podcast guest, and Producer host of WBAI’s popular late night radio show Niteshift. A veteran Audio book producer & director Mike adapted some of the works of Science-fiction legends ARTHUR C. CLARKE & ISAAC ASIMOV for companies such as Random House Audio, HarperCollins Audio and others. Mike has also done Award winning sound design for Theater, Film and Television. As a filmmaker his writing and directing debut feature film, Personals (aka Hook'd Up). Personals was the opening night film at Los Angeles’ Pan African Film Festival in 1999. Mike is currently completing BAD BOYS: A Documentary. A film that examines why women and society in general are in love with Bad boys through-out history.
