Dr. Misha Malyshev is a philanthropist, astrophysicist and theoretical physicist working in the financial industry. Malyshev has leveraged technological achievement and innovation into his business Teza Technologies, which he founded in 2009. Malyshev serves as the Chief Executive Officer.

Misha Malyshev came to the United States from Russia after earning multiple degrees in Physics, Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He attended Princeton University where he earned a doctorate in Astrophysics in 1998.

Misha Malyshev has extended his influence and lent his expertise to a variety of philanthropic endeavors through time and financial support. Dr. Malyshev is heavily involved with the Adler Planetarium, promoting STEM activities through Civic Hack Day and Girls Do Hack programs. Dr. Malyshev serves on the board of directors of After-School All-Stars and the advisory board of After School Matters. Additionally, he sits on the buildOn global leadership council. In 2014, he funded projects in Haiti and Malawi through buildOn to continue the progress in building schools and improving literacy. He had previously contributed funds that were used to build five schools. In 2015, he presented a $300,000 check to After-School All-Stars founder Arnold Schwarzenegger at the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy to help at-risk students around the country. Later in the year, Malyshev and Teza again sponsored the Adler program Girls Do Hack.

Dr. Malyshev contributes business and philanthropic philosophies to Smart Business to Chicago through a series of columns. He has also contributed op-ed pieces to organizations such as After-School All-Stars and the Adler Planetarium.
