I am a creative catalyst and the founder and Tree-E-O of Greenpop, a South African based environmental organisation on a mission to get active (not anxious) about the state of the planet. In 2010, I gathered like-minded individuals in Cape Town to plant 1000 trees in 1 month and havent stopped since - now having planted over 130 000 trees across sub-saharan Africa and inspired many more people to get active! In 2008 I was part of an expedition, Love to Africa, driving from Cape Town to London overland, profiling NGO's and community-based projects through 14 African Countries. In 2011 I was selected as one of the Top 200 Young South Africans by the Mail and Guardian and in 2013 nominated by Mail and Guardian as one of SA's top climate leaders. In 2014, I was included in Legacy Project hall of fame for those out to make a difference in the world and in 2019 was named as one of South Africa's Legends for my life's work in making the world a greener place. I am a youth fellow at Yali Africa as part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and am part of the Club of Rome African Youth delegation. When not planting trees, you can find me inspiring activists and entrepreneurs or sprinting up Table Mountain. I am invited to speak at conferences, workshops, and gatherings regularly, from TEDx, United Nations, Pecha-Kucha and Universities globally. ----------------------- Additional notable social projects which I was part of a team that spearheaded: https://sunshinecinema.org/ https://1000drawings.org/
