Dedicated, inquisitive and enthusiastic engineer who is always up for new challenges with experience in air filtration, reaction engineering (especially conversion of biomass into liquid fuel), material sciences, porous media (Nano-fiber and membranes), and some characterization techniques. I had an opportunity to work and operate HR-SEM, EDS, SECM, GC-MS and XRD by myself. I developed an interest in energy and environment-related topics since my freshman year of college, and I started exploring and researching these fields since then. My undergraduate research started with converting biomass into liquid fuels using catalyst packed plug flow reactor, mass flow controllers, and condensation unit. I gained skills for designing and fabrication of experimental setup, impregnation of the catalyst over Alumina, and material characterization techniques. As I started to enjoy discovering and solving complex problems, I continued my research pursuing MS degree in chemical engineering at IIT Madras. I perform experimental work to design and fabricate electrospun nanofiber coated air filters for heavy vehicles engine applications. The project is collaborated with the engineering design and applied mechanics department with external funding from CVRDE, DRDO. The fiber alignment and morphology were characterized using the image processing technique Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) using ImageJ tool. These nanofibers can be used in the application of facemask, filtration membranes, nano-composites, scaffolds for tissue engineering, gas sensors and smart textiles etc. This project exposed me to the R&D, work planning and execution of the project. Reach me out here or through muzwar97@gmail for any discussion. I am always looking forward for a good collaboration and learning experience.
