As a content manager and copywriter, I help companies tell engaging stories that build loyal tribes of employees and customers. I developed a passion for storytelling as a child, when I camped out at Barnes & Noble and read everything within reach. Years later, this passion set me upon an unexpected path toward content management, copywriting, and marketing strategy. I was the content manager and copywriter for one of the largest staffing companies in the U.S. for more than 2 years. My manager Staci Ingram, Senior Vice President of Communications & Development, said: “Morgan learns quickly and seeks out constructive criticism. She is the consummate old-soul writer whose nerves are made of steel, who doesn't get her feathers ruffled, who thrives under pressure and never cracks despite how tall the stack of projects pile on her desk.” I visited 15 countries while building my freelancer career, which bloomed into a small marketing agency. I wrote significant amounts of content and copy for clients in all fields and stages of growth, and routinely worked with clients and writers around the world. In less than two years, my agency achieved more than $100,000 in annual revenue and helped a major client grow revenue by nearly 500%, ranking them on the 2020 and 2021 Inc. 5000 lists. After an unexpected family event, I assumed management of a sushi restaurant in San Francisco while continuing to develop and grow my marketing agency. I routinely oversaw all aspects of the business, including partnering with suppliers and managing 9 employees, for 6 months before effectively winding down operations. My career path is a little unconventional, and I think I am a better listener and storyteller for it. I discovered that I truly enjoy working with a company’s leaders and sales, marketing, and design teams to crystallize their brand and engage their audience. Sounds like a great fit?
