I am a Data Scientist, business leader, and change maker. I help organizations transform the customer experience, dramatically improve speed of execution, and drive massive bottom-line growth through machine learning and artificial intelligence. All too often, organizations find themselves pouring large investments into data science initiatives that either get stuck in endless R&D or fail to deliver meaningful results. Competitors pull ahead and distrust and frustration with data science grow. I have helped change this equation because I combine technical skills as a data scientist and years of experience as a leader and manager, building teams and launching new products and services. As a Data Scientist, I have built several ground-breaking machine learning models from conception to production and adoption, including two award-winning projects: copay anomaly detection tool to help combat healthcare fraud and a mortality prediction model to help cancer patients receive timely hospice care. Recently, I have been using deep learning models to de-identify patient data at a massive scale and other applications in natural language processing (NLP). As a business leader, I have served as the COO of a health tech start-up, the founder of a health coaching startup, a consultant for the World Bank, and a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs. I've also worked on a nationwide effort to help physicians transition to value-based care. True collaboration builds the trust and excitement required to drive adoption and paves the way for future projects. Early wins, a strategic roadmap of high-value initiatives, and a relentless focus on execution can catapult an organization from having little success leveraging its data to an industry leader that utilizes AI and machine learning to create an unbeatable competitive advantage. On a personal level, I beat stress with a plant-rich diet, regular exercise, and daily meditation. I'm also an extrovert, which is rare in my field, and I love public speaking.
