Eng. Naser Alrashdi has been honored to serve the UAE government in the fields of ICT, Cybersecurity, and Space for the past 18 years, where he’s gained extensive experience with professional practical know-how on the areas of: - Strategy and Policy Development at both organizational and national levels - Laws and Regulations at both National and Int’ levels - Economic and Policy Studies, Surveys, and Foresight - Licensing Process - Diplomacy, and Negotiation - Incubation and Acceleration for Entrepreneurship, - Program Roll-out and Engagement - Performance, Compliance, and Governance, - Education and Outreach, - Awareness Raising and Communication, - Partnership (Intra-sector, inter-sector, and international) - Risk Management and Audit (Organizational and National levels), - Organization Structure - Budget management as well as procurement process. - Leadership, problem solving, and team motivation. Work Experience: *Apr 2015 - Present: Director of Space Policy and Regulations then Member of Quality Assurance and Risk Management Team |UAE Space Agency. *Sep 2012 - Apr 2015: Manager then Senior Manager in Cybersecurity National Policy and Planning| National Electronic Security Authority. *Jul 2007 - Jul 2012: UAE Representative at the UN-ITU in Geneva |Telecom Regulatory Authority and Ministry of Foreign Affairs | Switzerland. *Mar 2005 - May 2012: Spectrum Coordination Engineer, then Broadcasting Senior Engineer, then Manager of Broadcasting and Manager of UN-ITU Affairs |Telecommunication Regulatory Authority. During his career journey, Naser helped establishing more than 15 Departments in the Fed. Government. He managed over 60 national projects. He led the development of more than 36 national policies, strategies and regulations. He led and supervised over 73 national and international studies, and coordinated the preparation of over 590 conference paper contributions in over 210 international conferences that impacted more than 135 international decisions in the field of Space, Cyber, and ICT. Naser established in 2019 the UAE space entrepreneurship program (GSIA), and supported incubation and accelerated of more than 14 Space Startups. He coordinated the government authorization/licensing of over 18 ICT/Space activities, and led the int’ registration of more than 303 telecom and satellites stations. He coordinated the government signing of 20 international treaties& agreements, 14 MoUs, and the join of more than 10 international organizations/committees.
