Nenad has more than 25 years of venture capital and private equity investment experience in the technology and media sectors. Nenad focuses on investments in digital marketplaces, consumer internet, software as a service (SAAS) and fintech companies. Amongst his select investments are Shazam Entertainment (sold to Apple), Auto1 (IPO Frankfurt), GoStudent, Hometogo (IPO Frankfurt), Mister Spex (IPO Frankfurt), Apsmart (acquired by Thomson Reuters), Datanomic (acquired by Oracle), Endeca, (acquired by Oracle), Eve Sleep (IPO London), Happn, JobandTalent, Lendis, OLX (acquired by Naspers), Numa, Purplebricks (IPO London), Tbricks (acquired by Orc) and Quandoo (acquired by Recruit Holding), Happn, Joblift, Tourlane and Yassir. In 2021, Nenad was featured on the Midas List Europe which includes the top 25 Venture Capital Investors in Europe, Israel and the Middle East. In 2016 he was awarded Investor of the Year at the Investor Allstars. Nenad was Chairman of Invest Europe (formerly known as EVCA) for the year 2018/2019 and previously Chair of the association’s Venture Council 2015-2018. He is an active member of YPO. Prior to founding DN Capital, Nenad was a Partner at Advent International in the London office, where he focused on TMT investments. His investments included @entertainment (IPO Nasdaq) Internet Securities (sold to Institutional Investor) and Synergon (IPO London). Before Advent International, Nenad was a Financial Analyst in the leveraged buyout group of Bankers Trust in New York focusing on transactions in media and communications. Mr. Marovac received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration cum laude from San Diego State University with Distinction in Finance. When Nenad is not working he is an avid surfer, skier, wine collector and backgammon player.
