Bio

I'm the CEO of The Atlantic and the former Editor in Chief of Wired. I'm currently working on Narwhal, a project to create an online platform for positive conversations. I'm also a former contributing editor at CBS and CNN, a frequent public speaker about technology, and a co-founder of The Atavist, a digital magazine and publishing platform recently acquired by WordPress. Prior to starting at Wired, I was a senior editor at The New Yorker and then the editor of newyorker.com. I published a book back in 2009 called ''The Hawk and the Dove: Paul Nitze, George Kennan, and the History of the Cold War.''
