I am an information security professional turned privacy attorney. Before getting into law, I spent 10+ years in various systems, network, and security engineering roles at places like Cars.com, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and my hometown ISP (at age 14). My legal career started in patent law advising digital marketing companies on their new innovations. I love learning how technology works. My goal in providing counsel to clients is to keep it practical and actionable. When I was in the corporate world, nothing was more annoying than hiring a consultant or counsel that gave you long-winded answers or memoranda that didn't actually tell me what to do. I hope I never do that.
