Oki Matsumoto is Founder, Chairman and CEO of Monex Group listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange. Monex operates major online brokers in Japan and the USA and a large crypto currency exchange from Japan, as well as some other businesses in China, Hong Kong and Australia. He presently is an outside director of MasterCard, Incorporated. and also a Vice Chair of Human Rights Watch among other positions. He served as Financial Counsel to the Prime Minister and also as an outside director of Tokyo Stock Exchange. Before founding Monex, he was a General Partner of Goldman Sachs which he became in 1994 at the age of 30. He began his career at Salomon Brothers in 1987.
