With the experience of having worked in the US, UK, Germany and Spain, Oscar Méndez has always envisaged where technology is going next. From GE to Daimler Benz, Paradigma Digital and finally at Stratio, Oscar has made sure his teams possess the knowledge and skills required for an ever changing technological landscape. Fond of agile methodologies, he has also been an early adopter of Big Data technologies, developing projects with MapReduce for almost a decade, which led to the adoption of Spark and the need to create Stratio, a Silicon Valley based company specialized in Big Data projects. As a speaker, Oscar has been a guest at some of the main technological events in the past few years, delivering conferences at PC World Big Data, Spark Summit, Instituto Cervantes, and Cassandra Summit among others, as well as helping establish Big Data Spain, currently on its 7th edition.
