Curiosity. Creativity. Results. It’s how I operate. Infused with a passion to understand, I relish hard problems and the challenges they present. I flourish in exploring options and creating marketing opportunities in the world of entrepreneurs and business owners. Knowing their situation deeply. Growing their business through creative marketing and communications programs. I was raised on a dairy farm my parents owned in East Texas. Both my mom and dad were honest, hard-working folks who instilled a strong work ethic. I was exposed to many situations through their business and entrepreneurial endeavors. They were serial entrepreneurs and angel investors in numerous businesses. I grew up learning to add value. Knowing that if you want to build something, you had to problem solve, be creative and focus on results. I saw first hand how honesty and integrity built long-term relations and a reputation for business success. It's the values I took with me into my professional life. After a quick stint with a small communications firm, I joined a large consulting firm. As a girl from a rural East Texas, the opportunity to join a marquee company, see how large corporations operated, and travel extensively in the US and abroad was captivating. I worked hard. I developed creative marketing solutions. I learned about the power of storytelling. I developed templates and procedures to efficiently scale and execute programs. Ultimately, my entrepreneurial approach was stifled in the larger setting. So, I did what most entrepreneurs do... I left to start my own business. My first entrepreneurial journey was a dot com focused on consumer ratings (yep..Yelp before Yelp). It taught me a lot. I will never forget the pain, struggles, and perseverance required to start and build a business, and to then sell the business and watch its ultimate demise. Now, as the owner of MPD Ventures Company, I work with entrepreneurs and business owners. To fully understand their dreams. To understand their challenges.
