Bio

Investing and company building at IndieBio. IndieBio accelerates scientists and startups translating research and tech for the health of people and that of the planet. As a Partner at IndieBio, I am engaged in investments and operations at all stages of the fund, from sourcing to growth. IndieBio is part of SOSV, a $1.2B assets under management global venture capital firm providing multi-stage investment and hands-on support to startup founders. SOSV’s programs are focused on two broad areas: the first is breakout technology that promises the betterment of humanity and the planet. The second is cross-border markets, notably in Asia, that are ripe for explosive growth. The firm takes a portfolio approach to invest in a small number of highly promising startups and use its deeply resourced programs to accelerate product development, clinical studies, acquire customers, and scale. I started my career at IndieBio, right out of college, and have seen firsthand what it takes to build a deep tech startup sitting right next to the founders, in the trenches. Observing recurring dichotomies, the hard decisions, and human costs when it comes to prototyping, company building, and market discovery at the earliest stages has been foundational in defining his investment and operational lenses. To that end, he works in high resolution with portfolio companies on milestone mapping, building data rooms, and health/techno-economic modeling. Fascinated by volume and value tradeoffs, I am passionate about systematizing IndieBio’s investment theses and platform development by researching and implementing investment instruments and tech stacks. I love to track the latest in artificial intelligence and machine learning research, with a deep interest in novel computation architectures for biology. In addition, my investment thesis research spans project finance for new infrastructure and problems in operations research to fine-tune the means of production and distribution. Prior to joining IndieBio, I interned in the energy finance department of a multilateral development bank, assessing and modeling risk to scale up renewable energy investments in India. Accelerating technology adoption in emerging markets continues to be close to his heart. To that end, I really enjoy advising and brainstorming with startup incubators and startups across the Global South. I went to Bowdoin College where I loved studying Mathematics and Economics and attended the General Course at the London School of Economics.
