People are what drive me. I was drawn to healthcare so that I could positively impact people’s lives. I started my career as a pharmaceutical medical representative over 25 years ago. I am now Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi. We are an innovative global healthcare company, driven by one purpose: we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives. Our team, across some 100 countries, is dedicated to transforming the practice of medicine by working to turn the impossible into the possible. As a leader, I firmly believe that making an impact starts within. By ‘within’, I mean inside the company at the culture level – it’s about how we do things, how we work with integrity, and how we empower and inspire each other to bring our best selves to work. I’m a passionate champion of diversity and inclusion because in my experience, nothing does more to unleash potential, fuel innovation and drive long-term success. That even on a tough day, I can be confident that our work has a positive impact on people – either by improving a patient’s life or by inspiring a colleague to advance science.
