Peter Michel Heilmann is an experienced, visionary and mission-driven international entrepreneur and servant leader with a rich background in multiple countries and continents. He is a visionary, hands-on and passionate connector and frontrunner in and for the New World. Born in The Netherlands, he is a citizen of the world who grew up as a child in Bujumbura, Burundi and Ndola, Zambia. He has extensive experience in co-founding and scaling global communities, Internet portals and ventures, and in raising capital for European and international ventures and funds. In 1993, he founded Eco-Network, one of the world’s first B2B sustainability networks and on-line portals. He stood at the cradle of numerous networks, including the Global Compact Network Finland, Global Compact Network Hellas, and the European B Corp Community, which forms part of a global movement consisting of 6,500+ B Corps across 89 countries and 161 sectors, unified by one common goal: building an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system. He serves as the Nordic Circular Hotspot’s International Partner and was, between 2020-2021, a Managing Partner of this coalition of key partners and leading experts accelerating the transition to a circular and regenerative economy in the Nordics. Peter Michel served on the board of the United People Foundation (UPF) and B of Joy, an innovative co-operative pro-life form of banking from the heart and a citizens’ initiative by professionals. He is author of seven books, three in English and four in Greek, on entrepreneurship, innovation, responsible investing, sustainability, and leadership. His first book, “Green Pages—Πράσινες Σελίδες,” Greece’s first directory for responsible and compassionate consumers and businesses, was published by Livanis Publishing Organisation—New Frontiers in 1998. He was founder of the New Economy Forum, Greece’s first forum on the new economy, and has organised events and roundtables in Greece, Serbia, Turkey, The Netherlands and the Nordics. Over the past two decades, Peter Michel has mentored transformative and disruptive start-ups and scale-ups in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
