Central theme in my career is my personal and business engagement to realize feasible transition paths to a sustainable energy future. My commitment for my industrial engagements as business development & general manager, strategy & business advisor and corporate entrepreneur stems from my conviction that huge business opportunities can be unlocked at the fertile intersection of business and the environment. With the successful multi-billion Euro acquisition of a Western European gas network and the subsequent development of an integrated sustainable strategy I have demonstrated my planning and managerial skills in a pivotal project. As responsible lead project manager for technical due diligence and governance lead, I initiated and executed a large variety of investment deals from early investments in technology-driven start-up‘s to large infrastructure merger & acquisition, totaling total investments of almost 3 billion dollar. Looking forward, I aspire to deploy my skills to develop, lead and mature profitable renewable energy start-up‘s to reality. In my career, I’ve gone already through the full cycle of developing an energy efficiency service company while securing support & funding from a large mother company. Throughout my career I am recognized as a team player that rapidly assesses technologies and/or innovative business concepts with the objective to turn ideas into opportunities; by doing so motivating others to share and contribute to a business’ mission and vision. Building on these skills & experiences, I aspire to work in and with teams responsible to build, execute and mature new sustainable energy businesses. I love to engage with people and my personal success criteria is to win not only the minds but, equally important, the hearts of our audiences; thus aiming at creating inherently sustainable business concepts.
