For me this means looking for and working with companies that have a positive impact, mentoring people, and building communities where people feel included and thrive. At Maki.vc, we invest in early-stage deeptech and brand-driven companies across Europe. As a fund we invest in many different industries, but my current personal interests include climate tech and femtech. In climate, I gravitate towards new materials, construction, food tech, energy, hydrogen, biodiversity, CCUS, carbon markets. you name it! Reach out if you are building something in the space or would like to chat about the areas. I am proud to work at a fund that exemplifies this, as shown in our investments to Ever Dye, Spinnova, Jennis, Onego Bio, Rentle and more. I think sustainability and ESG are important, and at Maki, I have also been part of building the ESG practice for our fund, as well as helping our portfolio companies built theirs. I believe this will be crucial for the future and for building long-lasting, successful companies. I am a person with never-ending thirst for learning, be it new languages, dancing, reading about new topics or getting into new sports. My years abroad shaped my thinking, and competitive sports taught me persistence and drive – I get things done. As a true people-person, I am passionate by making connections amongst people and creating communities. I also believe diversity is key for making better decisions.
