Bio

I create meaningful experiences and help others reach their potential by using my generosity, commitment to experiential learning, and creative approaches to research and problem solving. In my client-facing roles, I inspire others to realize their career and academic goals, motivating them to make change in the world and build a sustainable future. My work in tech engages with innovative solutions to complex problems in social media and digital technology, focusing on ethical applications of technology and how we can effectively communicate with one another using digital technology. Informed by an ethics of care and compassion, I aim to ensure that my classrooms, appointments, and events are inclusive spaces that make individuals feel supported and cared for. My instruction and advising techniques are informed by a hands-on, experiential approach so that others feel confident in bringing their skills, creativity, and experiences to the task at hand. I strive to foster environments that are supportive and facilitate community amongst others. My PhD in English specialized in the literature and history of digital media and society, developing a strong understanding of communications technologies, ethics in technology, and digital culture. I demonstrated innovative approaches to research by conducting collaborative, multimedia projects with colleagues and local community members. And I continue to apply my doctoral expertise post-graduation, such as career coaching on social media use, providing feedback on ethical applications of AI, and supporting others for integrating technology in their daily work.
