Agriculture is at the center of much of today’s key global challenges related to healthy foods, GHG emissions, poverty eradication, economic resilience and sustainable landscapes. Innovative ideas and partnerships are required to build sustainable and scalable business solutions that generate value from farmer to consumer. As a VP and Head Sustainable Production Systems @Olam Food Ingredients (ofi) I provide support to our teams globally and drive ofi’s regenerative agriculture agenda. I am passionate about developing, adapting and applying technologies, approaches and services that improve the productivity, profitability, and sustainability footprint of Olam's own farms as well as our (smallholder) supply network. I hold an MSc and PhD in agricultural and environmental sciences from Wageningen University. I worked for the CGIAR from 1998 to 2016 as a scientist on sustainable and climate-smart agriculture. I’m now building partnerships and co-investment opportunities to convert our operations, knowledge and skills into productive, profitable, low-carbon solutions that create value from farmer to consumer.
