Technology keeps moving forward and brings along changes in many areas, yet healthcare is not one of them. As it stands, healthcare systems are unable to deliver the needed amount of qualitative, efficient healthcare services today, let alone in the future. I am out to change that. As the Head of the Health Technology Division and Connected Health Cluster Manager at Tehnopol Science and Business Park in Estonia, I collaborate with multiple partners to develop new services and emphasize innovative products for companies' product portfolios. At Connected Health Cluster and Tehnopol, we create new opportunities for testing technological solutions in healthcare. We also contribute to creating and developing a diverse network of approximately 50 stakeholders between the government, hospitals/doctors, academies, start-ups, bigger IT companies. Before managing the Connected Health Cluster, I was spearheading digital transformation at the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs. I was in charge of developing and implementing the Estonian EU Presidency eHealth policy programme and acted as the liaison officer for international organizations and networks, coordinating cross-border healthcare-service activities. As of autumn 2021, I am studying at Tartu University to get a PhD in Gene Technology. I believe that personal health and genome data could be used to make a change in the healthcare system. Thus, my focus is on employing one's health and genome data in health-related decisions, the impact of national and international strategies, legislation and other factors on a person’s ability to manage and share their personal data. In short, my expertise in connecting health policy decisions with the design and development of national digital services is valuable to bring qualitative, efficient healthcare services to everyone.
