In 2008, I launched Careerminds as a global virtual outplacement company. The concept of virtual outplacement was developed after experiencing years of traditional outplacement in a variety of HR roles. The one thing I have come to learn and appreciate is layoffs are incredibly stressful and a one size fits all approach doesn't work anymore, particularly today with five generations in the workforce as well as massive shift to hybrid and remote work. When we started the company early on, we had one mission: to reduce the stress our participants and clients face during layoffs and to help those displaced participants ultimately find their dream job. Everything we do is aimed at achieving this mission. After 13 years since launching, Careerminds was acquired by Talent Inc., the worlds largest career and job search company.
