I have experience running a small independent video game publisher and studio that makes award winning games. My day to day includes managing all of the business development partnerships with the studio and overlapping interests from our internal projects to the interests of companies like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Apple and Valve. I also manage the marketing and communication strategy and direction for the studio and manage a small staff of both internal and third party partnerships to execute on that strategy. I work in logistics and operations- mentoring that staff who now handle the local management of both the physical event spaces at our industry conventions and locally in our office. I interface regularly with lawyers, accountants, bookkeepers and manage the pitch documentation for all of our projects. This documentation includes creative direction, strategy, asset management and budgets. In addition to that ridiculous and relatively vague list of stuff in the previous paragraphs (which is just a fraction of my responsibilities), I also work on our internal development projects providing context from a marketing and business development expertise so our team can make appropriate design decisions in the market we are making this for and not the market we are currently in. I also am a full member of the narrative team and I work with the lead designer and writing team to build our current game.
