Rema is an accomplished advisory board member, leader and public speaker with over 11 years of experience within the Payments, e-Commerce and Financial Services industries globally. Formerly based in Malaysia, Singapore, Chile and now the Netherlands, Rema specialises in business strategy, operationalisation of electronic money and payment institutions, financial crime advisory and intelligence and due diligence investigations for large-scale organisations.

Rema currently leads compliance and oversees the strategic financial products of Uber’s Payments operations in APAC. Concurrently, Rema is a Global Board Member and Chair of Women at Uber EMEA, an Employee Resource Group within Uber to empower women with experiences that further their advancement and development into strong advocates and leaders. Rema is an experienced public speaker on embedded finance, payments and women empowerment.
