I am currently operating as a senior editor in Hill&Knowlton's Corporate&Brand practice. In my previous role as commercial editor with Arabian Business, part of the ITP Media Group, I liaised with editorial, clients and sales teams to produce thought leadership as well as branded content for publication across Arabian Business' and CEO Middle East' digital and print channels. Prior to this, over seven years as a sub-editor and staff writer with Gulf News, I contributed in an editorial capacity to hundreds of print and online reports across a range of subject areas including technology, lifestyle, healthcare, fitness, education, culture and business. Over this period, I was fortunate to be able to interview a wide swathe of individuals from different walks of life – from executive chefs to local e-commerce leaders, fintech CEOs, best-selling authors, product design chiefs, video game developers, VR experts and fitness gurus. In 2015, I helped conceptualise and launch #GNTECH, Gulf News’ consumer technology portal. As a member of the Commercial Publishing division, I have worked with companies such as Symantec, Samsung, Pizza Hut and Nissan to produce partner content pieces hosted on Gulfnews.com. I began my career as a journalist and sub-editor at Khaleej Times, hold a NCTJ Diploma in Journalism from the UK’s National Council for the Training of Journalists and have contributed to independent London papers such as the Hackney Citizen, Islington Tribune and Camden New Journal.
