Richard was the driving force in scoping, building and launching Island Pay, the first licensed Payment Service Provider and Electronic Money Institution in LAC. Island Pay continues to be the market leader in the region with more wallet holders and monthly transaction volumes than its nearest competitors. As the company expands into new markets such as Barbados and Cayman, Richard and his team strive to provide modern financial services to its wallet holders, merchants and governments. In partnership with Mastercard, Island Pay continues to innovate with the launch of the world's first CBDC backed card product, the Sand Dollar Mastercard.
