Richie Bachala is an IT leader in Data & Analytics domain at The Sherwin-Williams Company. He is responsible for managing a team of about 40+ Lead & Sr Engineers/Architects/Managers/Consultants across 5 countries (USA, UK, Mexico, India, and Malaysia) for supporting data engineering initiatives across APAC, ANZ, EMEA, LATAM, and NOAM regions. Richie Bachala is the Global Data Engineering Manager serving Sherwin’s Global Supply Chain, Corporate, Performance Coatings, R&D divisions. Richie is responsible for cross-departmental enterprise-scale data modeling, ETL/ELT, cloud solutions architecture, streaming, data integration, executing global data & analytics implementations for modernization of full-stack via cloud deployments, and for building analytics center of excellence. Richie drives Data-as-a-Service offerings that are easy to consume, elastic, secure, and reliable using Snowflake & Azure Cloud-based solutions for 11,000 internal user-base. Using his problem-solving abilities, product sense, and technical skills, built and manages a team with the vision to provide the enterprise with endless insights to solve any data challenge and find opportunities today, to aid in revealing the possibilities of tomorrow. Richie has a strong quantitative skillset grounded in mathematics & engineering. He holds an MBA in Finance & Business Analytics from Cleveland State University and has multiple executive leadership certifications from Case Western Reserve University. Richie serves as a member board of director for Esperanza, Inc; and The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio. Prior to joining Sherwin, he has held positions as a software product engineer for Oracle Corporation and Hitachi Consulting, as a middleware, data integration consultant for multiple Fortune100 customers. Richie rose quickly as an IT leader guided by his ability to relate processes, influence people, and have an enterprise impact with technology. He has deep expertise in creating and expanding a culture of advanced analytics with a sound scientific foundation, leveraging his experience for Supply chain problems. Richie is recognized by his peers as an industry leader in the evolution of BI Analytics and Data Engineering at Sherwin-Williams.
