- MSc in Biology; PhD in horticulture - over 16 year international sales and marketing experience of complex, technological products - entrepreneur, no-nonsense - 7 years of research experience in a leading position - writing and applying for patents - interest in durable products and systems I have over 10 years of international experience in general management, sales of complex tailor-made projects, New Business and R&D management. I have a generic interest in technology and sustainability. To me it is a challenge to let organisations grow by implementing a solid R&D and New Business strategy. I prefer to operate in the midst of science, development, and marketing & sales, and initiate and manage innovation strategies. I’m used to working in highly competitive niche markets, where margins are continuously under pressure, and the right investments are key to survive in the future. Money can only be spent once! R&D and Marketing should be no static departments; both should be embedded in the organisation, from top to shop floor. Crucial in an organization are, of course, clear structures and responsibilities. But, just as important are good teamwork, employees willing to co-operate, freedom to take initiative, and a good working atmosphere. An organisation can only grow if people can, and that is what I want to facilitate as a manager.
