Head of a 40+ strong research group in Fuel Cell and Hydrogen technologies. Covering all topics from hydrogen production to materials development for fuel cells (low and high temperature) and stack and system design. We also work in areas of market development, public health and environmental impacts. Starting with first hydrogen bus projects in 1997 I have followed and shared in developments ever since. Helping to re-shape the transport market through the development of electric vehicles with and without fuel cell support and the development of synthetic fuels to replace fossil methane. I can also look back on 35 years of experience in renewable energies and energy efficient buildings and energy supply with our consultancy PLANET having been spun out of Oldenburg's Carl-von Ossietzky Univesity in 1985.
