Research interests lie at the interface of mathematics and oceanography, with experience in fundamental and applied research. Funding from the U.S. Department of Energy since 2014 has resulted in collaborations with research groups in physical oceanography, nonlinear dynamics applied to Lagrangian oceanography, machine learning, offshore safety, and oil-spill modeling—research experience that began as concurrent and separate to my doctoral research. Full Principal Investigator responsibilities since 2017.
