The International Data Center Authority (IDCA), is a prominent multi-national, international, US-based organization headquartered in the Washington DC area. My role as the Chief Research Officer (CRO) is to conduct research on the evolving digital transformation and digital infrastructure market, as it transforms itself from a ground-up focus on construction and electricity to a focus on data-driven service and data-down design and form factors. My team and I, cover all relevant technologies that data centers serve today and will serve in the future: cloud computing, AI/ML, metaverse/XR, blockchain, Web3, 5G wireless, and quantum computing. As the Editor-in-Chief, I work with our great team to bring effective talking points and the latest and greatest happenings of our industry to the doorsteps of every individual or organization worldwide. Formerly IDG, and conference Chair of CloudExpo, among many others, I have been a passionate journalist and an industry enthusiast for decades. I started an IT research business in 2011 when I lived in Southeast Asia, called Tau Global Research. This is where we studied global cloud/IoT/AI buying patterns, their impact on socioeconomic development, and the challenges relating to ESG, SDGs, and Climate Change in 143 nations. Now based in the Chicago area, and the work continues. I also continue my work on the Advisory Board of InfraSight Software, which delivers new levels of transparency and insight to buying, managing, and planning Hybrid Cloud technology, continue to advise Q5id/Alertnest, and continue to develop new research through my firm Tau Global Research.
