I spend most of my time researching to learn how to accomplish goals using Open Source technology. I'm an avid FreeBSD System Administrator and Pythonista who enjoys learning all the amazing things that can be done with Open Source technology, namely FreeBSD and Python, to solve issues. I'm a firm believer that one can learn anything they wish to set their mind to. I'm getting more involved in contributing to Open Source projects in my spare time. I use FreeBSD and Python to learn more about computer technology and to assist me with my many side projects which help me to automate and manage various aspects of my life. I'm always seeking creative solutions to problems and enjoy a good challenge. I'm driven and motivated to learn, explore new ideas, and to keep my skills sharp. I enjoy participating in the research community and sharing my ideas. Let's connect and find out what is possible when we work together to create something new! In my previous position I helped The GLOBE Program at UCAR, find innovative ways to accomplish their technology goals. I'm quick to formulate plans that help get over technical hurdles and I'm always writing good documentation and procedures for my colleagues to follow to help them get their footing with the latest technology challenges. My areas of expertise include: Technical writing, communications, change management, research, end user support, systems administration, operating systems, automation, programming, video editing and public speaking.
