Bio

I'm a content designer and researcher focused on creating and improving systems of care. I work across Chinese, English, Portuguese--and increasingly, Dutch. Some things I often think about: deathcare, language, community. ----- Born in Lisbon, raised in Macau, and now living in Rotterdam, I’ve spent the last 15 years of my professional life helping people communicate effectively across languages and cultures. My work means I get to spend my day thinking about, researching, and fixing problems with language and data. Some of my recent and/or ongoing work includes collaborations with Rotterdam Arts and Sciences Lab (RASL), V2_, Lab for the Unstable Media and Transfer Galaxy. I’m especially drawn to the themes of care, compassion, and social justice. I spend a lot of time thinking about deathcare and how, through design and community knowledge and action, we can demand and build better systems of care.
