Ruth Gaviria is an award-winning leader known for creating and establishing brand and marketing for publicly traded brands and nonprofit organizations. She is considered an expert in brand development, the role of marketing in a changing organization and understanding the consumer voice. Gaviria launched her own brand and marketing consultancy in 2019 and currently works with on tech start-ups, nonprofits, real estate, media and entertainment brands. Most recently Gaviria served as CMO for The Elevate Prize Foundation, developing its brand and leading its and communications practice. She achieved her goal of disrupting the philanthropy space by intersecting social impact with entertainment and culture. Previously, Gaviria was Entercom’s (now Audacy) first ever CMO, establishing the practice, and overseeing of all marketing and communications functions including corporate marketing, brand development, ad sales marketing and research, and corporate communications and public relations. Before joining Entercom, Gaviria was Executive Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Univision Communications, where she was responsible for structuring the marketing organization. She led a rebrand of the corporation and its multi-platform properties, created the company’s digital marketing practice, and automated cross-channel promotions. Gaviria launched Hispanic Ventures at Meredith Corporation, to engage with Hispanic consumers. She began her career in brand management, holding positions at Procter & Gamble, Miller Brewing Company, Colgate Palmolive, and Time Inc. Gaviria has earned multiple accolades throughout her career. She has been named to Fast Company’s “Top 100 Most Creative People in Business,” Ad Age’s “Top Women to Watch,”, Cable Fax’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable”, and Ad Age’s “Top 100 Marketers”, among other industry honors. Currently, Gaviria serves on the board of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Genetics from Tulane University.
