Bio

I'm a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and alumna of the Gates Cambridge Scholarship and World Economic Forum Global Shapers. I'm currently at Accenture The Dock's Human Sciences Studio, leading its metaverse research theme. Some of my research areas include Decentralized Autonomous Organizations; human interactions in the metaverse; how medical experts interact with AI; diversity issues in clinical trials; using behavioural science to bridge intention-action gap. I still write academic and business publications in my personal time. Before industry, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Health Systems: collective leadership for safety cultures in multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Delivered in hospital & integrated care contexts. Led a cross-sectional study on healthcare workers' experiences of teamwork during COVID-19, recruitment through Twitter, focusing on psychological safety, collective leadership, organisational citizenship behaviours. From this postdoc, I published 5 peer-reviewed publications. I designed and led a clinical trial whilst a Gates Cambridge Scholar at the University of Cambridge: cluster RCT at 28 sites, screened over 10,000 patients, 30 research assistants. My biggest achievement was getting the whole trial funded through various grants and crowdfunding. The trial evaluated the implementation and effectiveness of new and existing mental health care frameworks, looking at costs, patient preferences and clinical outcomes. Also led a medical anthropology study in Indonesia on rural dwellers' experiences of mental health problems and choices of care as shaped by religion, social mobility, and Indonesia's colonial past. From my PhD, I published 4 peer-reviewed publications. In between my Masters and PhD, I spent three months as an OD (organizational development) consultant in a boutique consulting firm in Singapore, and two years as a Psychologist in Singapore's Ministry of Social and Family Development. My MSc thesis was a mixed-method study on the experiences of female foreign domestic workers in Singapore. My fieldwork involved spending days and evenings with domestic worker groups. From my MSc, I published 2 peer-reviewed publications.
