Sachin Jogia is the Chief Technology Officer and Group Director of Technology, Data & Innovation at Ofcom. His team supports driving innovation across the sectors they regulate including broadcasting, telecoms, wireless services and post, while ensuring citizens can live a safer life online. Prior to Ofcom, Sachin was the General Manager for Amazon’s Alexa Smart Home International – overseeing technology and commercial development and organisational leadership worldwide, spanning both the UK and Seattle based tech hubs. A customer and innovation driven international leader, Sachin has knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Machine Learning, Natural Language Understanding, eCommerce, Digital Media, Advertising Technology, Strategy and Growth, Operations and analysis, as well as a passion for the bleeding edge of technology to improve lives. Passionate about the application of ‘tech4good’ initiatives, Sachin chairs the British Heart Foundation’s Technology Advisory Group to accelerate innovation. He prioritises initiatives to help elevate people from disadvantaged backgrounds, including being a founding member of Amazon’s London Charity Committee and mentoring trainee teachers at TeachFirst. He is a digital and technology trustee and NED at City Year UK, a charity that helps to close education attainment gaps and give young adults a head start in their early careers, and mentors C-Suite leaders at UK-based SMEs for BeTheBusiness.
