A seasoned creative leader with extensive experience in Industrial Design, Creative technology, Digital Innovation and Design Education, Safir has a deep understanding of the importance of continuous learning, the power of collaboration and the responsibility we hold as innovators to harness our collective creativity to take on today's societal and humanitarian challenges. Safir is an Aspen Institute First Movers fellow, heads up the 3D Retail Coalition’s Education Committee, and teaches Design and Innovation at Art Center College of Design as well as at University of Southern California’s IAYA Academy (founded by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine). He sits on the board of directors of several startups and non-profit organizations and is currently working on two stealth projects involving an experimental educational program for the under-privileged as well as an autonomous living technology. Safir masters 8 languages, is a seasoned public speaker who is passionate about the intersection of design, technology and education - and as such, he uses his voice to empower others to make a difference in this world.
