My research interests are in cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. Our discoveries are based on deep profiling of plasmas for diagnostics and tumor cells for therapeutics. Each biospecimen we profile for discovery results in enough data to fill a laptop. Discovery is followed by due diligence to identify the most promising biomarkers for diagnostics and most promising targets for therapeutics. Much of our discoveries are based on mass spectrometry for proteomic, metabolomic and immunomic profiling of plasma and for identifying therapeutic targets in tumor cells based on in-depth analysis of the surfaceome, secretome, exosomes, nucleome, immunoproteome, phosphoproteome, glycoproteome, cryptoproteome and PTMOme.
