Co-founder and CTO of Uplift360 the first startup developing technology to enable a circular economy for complex materials in the defence sector. Fittingly, as the founder of a circularity startup, Sam’s career path has been as non-linear as it gets! She is a specialist in material science, defence and sustainability - not the most common collective of skill sets. She’s held senior strategic roles in both defence and humanitarian assistance organisations including the Ministry of Defence and the American Red Cross. With experience in disaster response, technology exploitation, and surveillance, she’s seen first-hand the brutal effects of global warming. Now she’s on a mission to support the defence sector in adopting circularity to combat climate change.
